This popcorn recipe has become a family favorite for cozy evenings where we want a tasty snack that's quick to make.

Ingredients

  • Popcorn: 1/2 cup popcorn kernels, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Hot Honey Glaze: 1/4 cup honey, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste), Pinch of salt

Instructions

Step 1:
In a large pot with a lid, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the popcorn kernels and cover. Shake the pot occasionally until popping slows to 2 3 seconds between pops, about 4 5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer the popcorn to a large bowl, discarding any unpopped kernels.
Step 2:
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey, butter, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt. Stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth and just warm, about 2 3 minutes.
Step 3:
Drizzle the hot honey glaze over the warm popcorn. Toss or stir well to coat all the popcorn evenly.
Step 4:
Let the popcorn cool for 1 2 minutes so the glaze sets slightly, then serve immediately.
