Questions & Answers

How do I toast pecans for the blondies?

Toast pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant and lightly browned. Let cool before folding into batter.

Can I use a different sweetener instead of maple syrup?

Yes, alternatives like honey or agave syrup can be used, but they may slightly alter the flavor and texture of the blondies.

What is the best way to avoid overmixing the batter?

Fold the dry ingredients gently into the wet mixture just until combined. Overmixing can lead to dense, tough blondies.

How do the spices affect the flavor profile?

Warm spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger add depth and a cozy aroma, enhancing the sweetness of maple and richness of pecans.

Can I substitute pecans with other nuts?

Yes, walnuts or chopped almonds work well, offering a different crunchy texture and flavor to complement the blondies.
